Transcripts of D.A.D: Pre Searing (Part 1)

The people of Ascalon were happy, they gossiped in the city, dueled in the fairgrounds, and went on with their business without worry of much more then an inept swindler trying to take advantage of them. It was a good time to live, the economy was high and even though war with the Charr was still raging, the Ascalonian military had kept the Charr at bay. Even though the Charr knew they could not breach Great Wall that separated the wastelands from the lush lands of Ascalon, they still attacked the wall with full force on a regular basis. Fortunately, during these times the Ascalonian military had no shortage of soldiers, because it would accept any young Ascalonian that wanted to serve his or her country. The amount of volunteers that the military accepted was more then sufficient to replenish the few casualties that the Charr had afflicted upon the Ascalonian army. Little did the people of Ascalon know that their lives will be changed forever?

In a courtyard, not too far from the city, two young apprentice elementalists are practicing for their final test to become full fledged Ascalonian Elementalists. Methredhel, the daughter of a noble in nearby Surmia and Catfish Johnson, the son of Warmaster Drake "Its about time Catfish, I thought it would take you at least till next week to finally get that spell right." Methredhel said with a smile. "Thanks Methredhel" Catfish said sarcastically. "It's just this stupid earth attunement spell. I can perform earth magic, it's just that Earth Magic is not my favorite Methredhel, and remind me, who's the one that has mastered water magic already" Catfish replied with a grin. "Ha, mastered isn't what I would call it. Just because you can cast Water Trident and Shatterstone doesn't mean you've mastered it you naive little boy." Methredhel said playfully as she shot a flare at an over flying crow. "Well still, it's the principal of it all Methredhel, I am sure master Igraine can explain it to you." Methredhel stared at Catfish with unbelieving eyes as she couldn't fathom what he just said.

Luckily for her Grenth had just started to walk up to them. "Catfish, Uncle said that he needs you in Prince Rurik's chambers." "What does he want" "I don't know, he just asked me to come and get you and told me to have you meet him there immediately, he did look worried though." "Oh and please excuse my rudeness Methredheand, how has your day been? Grenth asked sincerely. "Well my day has been lovely; I've just been training with Catfish. "How about yours" Methredhel asked Grenth. "It was going fine until I had to go and get Catfish here." "I was training with Careless and Treven, and Careless almost got] Treven killed." "How did he do that?" Methredhel said with worry. "Ha, ha, well Treven was helping Careless with his bow accuracy shooting and, well, he shot the arrow at some girl's shirt as she was walking by. The arrow caught the girl's shirt, tearing it right off her back and sending it into a nearby bush. To make it worse, this was not just any girl, this was Jaxx, needless to say by the time Jaxx finished with Treven, he wished he was never born" Grenth said as he laughed.

"Well I guess I better be going you two, I will see you tonight Grenth, and will see you Methredhel whenever" Catfish said as he rushed to the castle with a smile on his face.
