The Chronichles of the Cold Blooded Reaper
Chapter 2
The sun had risen only two hours ago, and I and my comrade was already collapsing of thirst
and exhaustion. It had been almost two days since we parted way with the people on the boat.
The sun would have burned us to death if we hadn’t gotten these black capes from Fuery. The
man on my side was Clone Yoda, a childhood friend of mine. If you could call us friends is
another story. We used to fight all the time, he always won. I always said that he was
cheating then he would grin and point his water magic staff at me. "Hey you wouldn’t mind
making some water for us, eh?" he looked up from under his hood and stared at me with his
ice blue eyes. And something inside me crumbled those young eyes that had not seen a drop
of blood before. I wondered if my eyes looked like that once a long time ago. "If I could I
would, I’m too exhausted." I swear I saw a faint smile run across his face. We continued to
walk, our tracks washed away by the winds.
We didn’t talk that much. We were never really good at small talk, when there was something
to say we said it, if it wasn’t there was no reason to talk. Occasionally we would look at
each other, just to find ourselves enveloped in the silence.
Whistling, Yoda never whistled neither did I. My body spun around towards the sound only to find my eye fixed on a hunters shot. Although the arrow was fast it wasn’t like last time on the boat this arrow was somewhat slower. I pulled my scythe and whirled it around and in the motion I cut the arrow in half. Yoda pulled his hood back and fire burned in his eyes. The ranger rose from the sands and started running still firing arrows at me and Yoda. The killers instinct shined as a mythical aura around me. I entered a state on trance just as I had learned a long time ago. A smile awakened on my face as I disappeared in thin air only to appear right behind the ranger with my dagger on his throat. As my dagger sliced a little cut on his throat a drop of blood streamed down and in under his shirt. "I will ask you once, if I don’t like your answer you can say bye to your throat." I whispered in his ear. He looked up on me and I saw the fear in his eyes. I don’t know why but I enjoyed it. "My name is Sagitta, I live in a village just north of here. A couple of days ago some weird creatures appeared out of thin air and slaughtered my people" I looked at Yoda, and he looked back. Our village, the place where I grew up was just north of here. Yoda started running and so did I, it was as if we charged towards an invisible target. It was dark before we reached our town or at least the place where our town used to be. Hungry flames licked the buildings. Hollow screams filled the air and polluted our very core. A shadow stumbled out of the flames as the figure came closer we saw it was a female. Her eyes clouded and her arms stretched out uttering a constant moan. "Ghoul, Yoda we need to cut her head off." My movements went into an entirely robotic status, and before we could blink the head rolled down the dunes. Yoda and Sagitta stared in shock. "What the heck was that!" they shouted simultaneously. "Living dead." Was all I said. "What’s that weird smell?" Yoda said while making a face that expressed his disgust. I took a deep breath only to regret it a couple of seconds later "Gas! Hold your breath!" Sagitta suddenly shouted, but apparently it was to late. Everything became diffused. As if things could not get worse we heard the moaning of the ghouls creeping from the town. Moans that never stopped. I ran towards a diffused shape raised my scythe and let it fall. Blood filled my eyes, Eternal undead moans in my ears. And my heart blackened.
