The New Beginning of Arkonox Dorvan
Chapter 1
The fresh scented air of grass filled the air as the breeze gently rushed past me.
I wasn’t alone with my friend Master of the Kill. We were in a war with no hope or
justice. Warmarshal Varesh had sent her forces at our beloved city of Kamadan,
Jewel of Istan. I wasn’t as very experienced as Master of the Kill, he knew the
ways of life and death. But me, I was a simple dervish. The drums of war filled
the air as the warning alarm ringed. Istanian nobles and peasants fled to their
houses. We knew it was coming. Suddenly an army of ancient undead led by the
unforgiving "Hunger" ravaged through the walls. The sunspear soldiers got ready
their arms.
"To arms my brothers!" shouted Master of the Kill as the undead screeched
wretchedly.
Cries of pain ringed through my ears as blood scattered on the ground vigorously.
The smell of blood and sweat rose from the air as Javelins soared in the air and
punched through the large army of ancient undead. It was war…
As I fought the ancient undead, "The Hunger" was clear to be seen by my master,
they fought. Blind as a bat I worked my way through the crowd of foes until none was
left. Bodies of honoured soldiers lay lifelessly on the ground. The only ones left
was Master and the Hunger. With such skill they fought for many hours. Darkness
covered the sky like a large blanket of black and thunder and rain started to pour
down. As time went by The Hunger and Master lay on the floor shivering with pain.
With his last energy Master sent his last blow at the monster. His arrow struck the
Hunger straight to the heart. A loud horrible screech ringed through the horizon. At
last… the monster was dead. Tired and weak I rushed to see Master. He was covered in
blood, sweat and dirt and large wounds poured with blood.
"Carry on my legacy and fulfil the destiny I seek…" He whispered weakly. "Seek Kormir
and tell her of the events that has occurred my son, Tell her abbadon has come to
bring in the… night…" he stopped breathing.
Tears of sadness ran down my cheek, I didn’t want him to die. Fury rushed through my
veins as whispers tempted me for revenge. I knew I had to do something. I grabbed my
bloody scythe as I prayed to the gods for Master’s safety in the underworld. It was
time I did something in my life. And this is the time…
