The New Beginning of Arkonox Dorvan

Chapter 4

"Fire the catapult!" Kormir shouted as a group of Margonites charged in with great force.
Sounds of clattering swords and exploding missiles of magic swarmed the hall. I crawled through an eerie and dark chamber, only drips of cold water was to be heard But the sounds of war was still to be heard from above.
"Hmmm the chamber seems to be pointing north, this might lead us to the Consulate Docks, and we can get a ship from there and travel to Kourna," Thorn presumed.
Dagger looked down the black, inky chamber. He noticed a distant, grey group of figures that was moving very quickly towards us. Suddenly Dagger gave a grave face.
"Margonites! I see Margonites behind us! Down the chamber!" Dagger shouted hesitantly
Thorn became alert and quickly sprinted down to the exit with us but the Margonites were gaining on us. As I ran, the tunnel started to reveal a shade of light, I knew we were coming to the end.
"Hurry! We are nearly out of this place!" Thorn shouted.
We ran as fast as we could, then a smell of fresh air covered the area, we were out. As I looked back I saw the exit subsiding trapping the Margonites inside, I gave a great sigh of relief, panting tiredly.
"Well…here we are, the Consulate Docks!" Thorn said cheerfully.
"But what would happen to Kormir and the Sunspears?" Dagger asked sadly with a frown on his face.
"That I do not know…but we have to get a ship to get across the sea to Kourna, then we will travel to Vabbi to ask help from the three princes'," Thorn replied grinning.
We hurried down to the docks as we saw an empty boat floating calmly but silently with the wind. As we went inside a cold, presence entered the boat, ice started to expand from the doors. It was a frightening experience as we backed away from the entrance…
"How dare you not bow before the Great Grenth, God of Death and Ice!" a booming but creepy voice shouted.
Suddenly we are surrounded by an army of corpses as they were re-animated back to a fiendish monster. A great, icy figure rose from the ground has all the corpses halted. Thorn was in disbelief.
"It's…its Grenth! All bow down or your souls will be taken!" Thorn shouted hesitantly.
We all bowed down shivering as an icy essence crawled up my spine.
"I have come here to tell you…a great person of help is at Kaineng City…I was gonna take her soul away but as I thought, she had a stronger spirit inside of her, find her and I will guide you through your journeys…" wheezed Grenth in loud voice. "But I warn you…you will come across a messenger of Abaddon, He is powerful and will be hard to beat,"
Suddenly Grenth faded away in to the inky blackness as the ships state went back to normal. We all shivered vigorously as a freezing wind went past us.
"Well…who is this person we are looking for?" Thorn asked as he wiped off the melting ice left on his shoulder.
"…Her name is Mystery Mesmer, she is the leader of DAD2…" whispered Dagger in a mysterious way. "I was there…we found her lying in Kaineng City then we were attacked by Corsairs, they attacked Isle of Meditation"
I looked at Dagger for a while. His face was stern and was violent, staring into blank space, as his eyes were clouded white.
"Dagger are you ok?" I asked quickly
Dagger got back to his normal state as he looked at me.
"Yes…I am fine" he replied as he walked off.
There was something mysterious about him that I could not identify, it's as…he was filled with torment.
"Ok! We are ready to set sail!" Thorn shouted excitedly
"Thorn I never knew you could sail a boat!" I laughed as the fast winds pushed us forward into the sea.
"Well…I am a pirate" he winked at me as he laughed with me. The wind was flowing past me as I took a deep breath of fresh air, it was time I knew more about this Nightfall and time I've been to Kourna! In addition, probably this Mystery Mesmer will help me in my destiny for Master's Death.
