The New Beginning of Arkonox Dorvan

Chapter 7

"Oh c'mon! Hurry up will ya!?" shouted Taby as she sprinted past Dagger in the savannah heat. Dagger made a growling noise of annoyance.
"Hmmmm, we're nearly there Dorvan, the place where we can find answers… the Chantry of Secrets," Thorn said to Dorvan.
"Great! At least we can get some rest" I replied happily as the sound of our feet crunching on the ground echoed through the empty desert.
After some time we finally reached our destination but all we could find was an altar with a strange statue on it.
"Well, it says this is the Chantry of Secrets," Thorn beckoned.
I started to walk up to the statue and observed it. It was of a tall man, a grey beard wearing strange robes that went down to the floor. I noticed small scriptures, which became familiar to read… it had some kind of symbols on it. For some reason, I could understand every single letter of it so I started to read it aloud.

Suddenly the statue rose to the air revealing a passage, which interrupted his conversation with Taby.
"In the name of Kormir…how did you open it?" Thorn asked confused. "Wait a moment… that's demonic language!"
I backed away slowly; frightened I was one of Abaddon's followers. Dagger unexpectedly got attention of me. Then the same white cloud of eyes appeared as if he was observing my energies within me. "Well… let's enter and see what we can find there," Thorn said calmly to me.
I was paralyzed. What if I was trained to serve Abbadon? What if I was one of…them…? I slowly stepped into the deep passage with many thoughts in my head. It was pitch black and damp. All you could hear was the scurrying of feet and the drops of water dripping from the ceiling. Everyone kept quiet. A faint light was seen from far away, so we hurried towards it. It was beautiful…

We all slowly rose from the cave to find an exquisite temple. It had the statues of the five gods all in different places. There we also saw guards wearing cloaks around their faces, hiding there face.
"Hey! You there! How did you get in here? Only members of the Orders of Whispers can get here… and its demonic proof." A guard said.
I backed away. Abruptly Thorn interrupted.
"A member of the Order of whispers let us in because we asked the Master of whispers for answers…" Thorn said mysteriously while looking back at me.
"Hmmmm, ok come with me travelers…" The guard whispered.
The guard led us to a peculiar area within the sanctuary. There, we saw the Master of whispers. He sat on a chair as he meditated. Blue fire surrounded him as he rose to the air.
"What is it you want?" he unexpectedly asked.
"We…we need a way to beat Abbadon." I replied. "Nightfall is coming."
He opened one eye, revealing a white clouded eye the same as Daggers.
"I see," he said as he observed me. "You know what? You're probably wondering about my eyes right?"
I nodded slowly as I starred at his eyes. Thorn looked at me with a puzzled face as if he was questioning me.
"Well ill tell you something, there are only three people in all of Tyria, Cantha and Elona with these eyes. It allows the person to see what kind of power they hold, and how powerful they can be. It also shows the amount of energy the person has…and you…you have almost unlimited in you." He said quietly looking at me.
I had a puzzled face on…what did he mean by unlimited energy? Isn't it impossible to have almost unlimited energy.
"It seems you have quarter of Abaddon's power in you, the rest is Balthazar's power." He interrupted.
Thorn caught my attention, same for Dagger and Taby. I was nervous; I didn't want demonic power in me. Was I evil? He looked at the guard, and then nodded as he left the temple. Then the Master of Whispers looked on me again.
"You are a rare being young one…," He said smiling. "I believe you can destroy Abbadon and redeem the demonic power in you. However, to help you…you must travel to Cantha in a place called the Isle of Meditation. There is a small group to help you defeat this great foe."
Suddenly he looked at Dagger. Dagger also had the white clouded eyes on Master. They both eyed each other down.
"Haha! Well it seems this guy has the same power as me," he laughed. "Well good luck, and save Elona,"
We bowed down to Master as he bowed to us. It was gonna be a long journey. But no matter. We will destroy Abbadon.
